Dreaming of Anesthesia

I haven't fired up my laptop for more than a week. Thank you to those who left emails and comments, they always make me feel good.
I have been feeling somewhat disconnected these last two weeks. I had my MELD done last week and I jumped up from 18 to 25. This week I went up another point. I can't even begin to describe the emotions I am going through. It has been more than three and a half years since this started. I am tired and I am sore and I am overwhelmed each day with this and that. It is likely that I'll get the call sometime soon if my numbers continue to stay above 25.
I am crossing my fingers and waiting.

  1. In the spirit of "good things come in ugly packages"... I'm sorry you feel so ill, but I'm THRILLED that your wait may finally be over. Last week a friend's 60+-year-old neighbor had a double lung transplant and they had him stand up and take a step the day after surgery! That's my wish for you - a successful transplant and smooth recovery. I'm sending you prayers, wishes for peace and grace, rainbows, unicorns and all that other good stuff.

  2. praying for you dear Beaux...keep those sweet dreams flowing...you receive your new liver and restored health very very soon!!!!

I will be taking a blogging break during March and possibly April...only posting photos and not visiting blogs...but YOU are the exception. I want to stay informed so I am now going to subscribe to your posts by email so I am aware of any news of transplant.

Hang in there friend. Sending love to you and Lois and the girls even though they don't know me. Through you, I feel connected to them.

    gentle steps,
    Laura
